Port Stephens: Day 3

The Australian Shark and Ray Centre

We paid $86 for 2 adults and stayed for about an hour. Too expensive, but still quite an experience. The website gives an accurate description of what you can do, like cuddling a 300kg sting ray. Overall, we prefer this place over Sydney Aquarium just because you can get up close and personal with sharks and sting rays. Best of all, you don't have to get wet. You just have to put on waders (like what they wear for fly fishing), on top of your outfit and you can get into the tanks with the sharks and sting rays. No need to get into wetsuits.

Oakvale Farm

If you have kids, you must stop by Oakvale Farm on your way back to Sydney from Port Stephens. We actually enjoyed Oakvale Farm more than Taronga Zoo. At just $20 per adult (children under 3 are free), it made us forget how much we spent on the Australia Shark and Ray Centre.
